How adorable is this family??!! My favorite thing about photographing kids is making the session as interactive as possible to showcase their personalities. As soon as they arrived, Noah & Zoey went straight for the tee pee, & immediately climbed in & started posing.
“You are NOT a nature girl, are you??!!” If I’m being entirely honest, I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to bugs, unknown rustling in bushes & creepy critters. However I think this road trip taught me to be a bit more of a “nature girl”.
Descanso Gardens has always been one of my favorite places. My Nana loved gardening & I remember visiting Descanso when I was young. My Mom, sister & I have carried on the tradition & now visit with my niece & nephew.
I shoot film. Not a lot. Not as much as I should. But I do want to start incorporating it into my workflow more regularly. There’s something about the process of loading film, using your light meter, manually focusing, timing your shots, and hearing the sound of your film advancing that makes you feel like you’re doing so much more than taking a picture, you’re creating true art.
Jennifer is one of my dearest friends. We’ve been involved in each others lives since elementary school & have remained close for over 25 years. We’ve been through so much together … from playing dolls to crushing on boys to taking college classes together, to being her maid of honor, to celebrating the birth of her 4 beautiful children! She told me she wanted to celebrate their 10th anniversary with a photo shoot & I couldn’t have been more excited to start planning this session!
One of the things I love about my job is the opportunity to meet amazing photographers. I was lucky enough to have met Lisa of {LMarie Photography} four years ago. She has become such a dear friend & mentor. She is one of the kindest, most compassionate, loving, & generous people I know.
From the delicate details, to the fleeting moments, to the candid expressions, my number one priority as your wedding photographer is to create imagery that takes you right back to how you felt in that exact moment.
Through intentional composition, I strive to zero in on the moments you likely didn’t even notice. Memories are so much more than details … they’re feelings. With every click of my shutter, I want to bring your vision to life while allowing you to be deeply present.
