Last fall I had the privilege of attending a photography workshop hosted my dear friend Katrina Jayne & Jane Alexandra Events at Allegretto Vineyards in Paso Robles. It was the perfect opportunity to take some time away from my daily tasks to be inspired, to connect with fellow creative entrepreneurs, & to set new goals.
You’ve spent countless days, months, maybe even years planning your dream wedding. The countdown is on & then a worldwide pandemic hits. Your life has been turned upside down & all of that excitement has now transformed into stress & overwhelm as you start thinking through all of the work that needs to be done to postpone. While I realize that it doesn’t change the situation, I just want you to know that you’re not alone.
In honor of what would have been our wedding date, I decided this would be the perfect time to share our engagement photos. With the wedding being postponed until next year due to the coronavirus outbreak, I couldn’t be more grateful to have our engagement photos to stare at until our new wedding date is here.
The Ebell of Los Angeles provided the perfect ambiance for Julia & Jeremy’s elegant black tie wedding. If I had to choose my favorite moment from their wedding day, it would have to be their first look … Julia was overflowing with excitement & anticipation & Jeremy’s tearful reaction was the absolute cutest! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Davis! Thank you so much for choosing me to document such a momentus day!
While we’re all in self-quarantine & stuck at home, I figured I could share some beauty with you in the midst of this time of uncertainty. Earlier this year I had the opportunity to go to London with my childhood bestie. Tiffany & I [yep we’ve got the same name] met in jr. high & have been close ever since … 23 years to be exact! When she first mentioned the possibility of me coming to visit her in London it felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity & I jumped at the chance.
We met 7 years ago after being introduced by a mutual friend (who’s a bridesmaid in our wedding!) Neither one of us were looking for anything serious at the time, so we dated casually at first. We had SO much fun together – going to concerts, going out dancing, and hiking around LA. After about 6 months things when things got serious & we realized we were falling in love, we made it official! We moved into an apartment together in Santa Monica the following year and have been happy ever since.
Mat & Linda’s Highland Springs Ranch wedding was such a fun celebration. They wanted to decided to incorporate traditions from both of their cultures so they had an American ceremony followed by a traditional Korean Paebaek. This wedding ritual where the bride is formally welcomed into the grooms home & accepted as a part of the grooms family.
From the delicate details, to the fleeting moments, to the candid expressions, my number one priority as your wedding photographer is to create imagery that takes you right back to how you felt in that exact moment.
Through intentional composition, I strive to zero in on the moments you likely didn’t even notice. Memories are so much more than details … they’re feelings. With every click of my shutter, I want to bring your vision to life while allowing you to be deeply present.
