Some weddings hold an extra special place in your heart & for me, Cole & Abigail’s wedding was absolutely one of those weddings. I’ve known Abigail since before she was born. Her Dad was my youth pastor growing up & I remember when they made the announcement that they were pregnant with Abigail! So when my dear friend & amazing photographer Taylor asked me to 2nd shoot a wedding with her in Mariposa, I of course said yes … I mean who wouldn’t want to road trip to the mountains with your awesome friend & shoot a gorgeous wedding??!! Then when she told me the names of the bride & groom I couldn’t believe it!! This wedding was so sweet, meaningful, intimate, emotional & full of life, joy & celebration. Cole & Abigail’s first look is one I’ll never forget & I can’t even count the number of times I had tears in my eyes during their wedding day. I am so grateful to have been a part of this incredible day!
The End of the Road Retreat is an amazing old cabin tucked away in the Mariposa forest. It felt like an absolute fairytale … the light was perfect, the weather was perfect, the scenery was perfect, the details were perfect. This location truly was a photographers dream to photograph & I hope I’m able to go back someday!
