In home sessions tend to be one of my favorite. There’s something so special about documenting a family’s interactions in their own space. It makes these lifestyle sessions so personal since so many of your early family memories are at home.

Hiring a wedding photographer can be a daunting task. Your dream wedding is about to happen & you want to make sure it’s documented in the best possible way. There are countless wedding photographers, so how do you pick just one? Here are my top 3 things to look for when hiring a wedding photographer.

Hire a photographer that is able to help you problem solve & that can continually remind you to stay in the present. That was one of the most helpful things we had throughout our day, & we highly recommend it. Getting along with your photographer, & being able to get to know them & share some laughs beforehand can make the day so much less stressful.

Being in the wedding industry for the past 6 years has taught me many things. One of them being that not all coordinators are created equal. There is a HUGE disparity in what wedding coordinators do & what they consider their role to be. I’ve worked with many coordinators … some who are an absolute godsend & others who I honestly couldn’t tell what they were “coordinating”.
