The Scenario

While we’re all in self-quarantine & stuck at home, I figured I could share some beauty with you in the midst of this time of uncertainty. Earlier this year I had the opportunity to go to London with my childhood bestie. Tiffany & I [yep we’ve got the same name] met in jr. high & have been close ever since … 23 years to be exact! When she first mentioned the possibility of me coming to visit her in London it felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity & I jumped at the chance.

This was my first trip to Europe & I was beyond excited to experience it & photograph it. As soon as I stepped off the plane, it was like I had been transported back in time. Literally everything in London is photo-worthy! From the adorable cobblestone streets, to the cozy pubs, from the quaint gardens, to the ornate buildings, the architecture blew me away

Tiff was quite the tour guide & within 3 days we managed to see the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, the Queen Victoria Memorial, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower Bridge, The Thames River, Her Majesty’s Royal Palace & Fortress of London, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, the London Eye, the Monument to the Great Fire of London, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, the Horse Guards Building, The Bank of England, the Royal Exchange Building, Primrose Hill, Hampstead Heath & 2 London musicals (Waitress & Dear Evan Hansen).

I think this coronavirus outbreak has caused us all to evaluate our priorities & re-assess what we value most in life. While travel is amazing & I’m incredibly grateful that I got to experience the beauty of London, I’m most thankful for the memories made with a dear friend who has been there for me for the past 23 years of ups & downs that life has brought. This trip provided us with so much quality time to re-connect in a much deeper way than we have in a while & that truly meant the world to me. It’s easy to allow life to get in the way of relationships. But when we get out of our every day routine, it allows us to step away from the mundane tasks & re-evaluate what’s most important in life. Whether it’s a trip that kickstarts this midset adjustment, or the coronavirus outbreak, let’s remember what’s most important in life. Let’s choose to maintain perspective, let’s choose to find beauty in the midst of chaos, love in the midst of fear & let’s remember to focus on what’s most important in life. So let’s take this time of quarantine to be introspective. To be grateful for what we do have, to applaud our strengths, to seek areas of growth & to come up with a game plan to reach these goals. Let’s strive to life fulfilling lives investing in what matters most. There are still plenty of memories to be made during this time … the may just look a little different than normal.
