From Haley:
Making things and curating special pieces has always been something we love working on together and we wanted the wedding to be an extension of our personal style. Almost all of the signage, props, decorations and alter were created by the bride and bridal party. All of the plates were vintage finds or pieces that we had between our two families. It was amazing to see everything come together on our wedding day.
I don’t think there was a dry eye during the ceremony, including our own. We were worried that having a First Look would detract from seeing each other during the ceremony but if anything it made it more special and gave us more time together to enjoy the culmination of our love story.
The Grilled Cheese Truck is our favorite food truck in LA and was a non negotiable of the groom, which I was more than okay with.
Adding our own special touches made our wedding really feel like the best day ever. Seeing everyone’s hard work, all of the decorations, our friends singing, all of our favorite people in one place made it more than memorable.
The Elysian LA is an amazing private venue in Los Angeles. They host a very limited number of weddings each year, & Haley & Austin were lucky enough to book their last wedding opening in 2016. This Elysian provides the perfect combination of modern & chic, outdoor & intimate. The greenhouse frame offers the perfect open air environment & is absolutely one of my favorite venues to photograph.
