As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph many beautiful venues. Yet often times my favorite locations end up being private estates. I’m drawn to the more intimate environment and I love the fact that each couple is able to customize the entire event to create a meaningful and personalized experience. I’m so excited to share this vibrant Palm Springs wedding with you!
Palm Springs is known its fun, relaxed and carefree vibe. It’s the perfect destination to escape reality, let loose and celebrate. Which is why it has become such a popular wedding destination. From the warm desert air to the the palm tree lined streets to the vibrant bougainvillea, there’s something about this environment that instantly makes you forget about your worries and just be present in the moment. What better setting to bring all of your friends and family to, to celebrate one of life’s biggest milestones?
The moment I drove through the gates, I was blown away. The grounds were lush and expansive and felt like the perfect private paradise for this vibrant Palm Springs wedding. Since the venue was so colorful on its own, the bride and groom chose to go with a black tie theme which created a modern elegance and allowed the natural beauty of the venue to speak for itself. I loved how the relaxed desert environment contrasted with the formal sophistication of decor elements. It felt modern and refined yet warm and welcoming.
I’ve always loved Palm Springs. Growing up, it was the destination of many family vacations and it’s always been the epitome of fun and relaxation. So when I was asked to 2nd shoot a wedding in the desert, I jumped at the opportunity.
Images taken while 2nd shooting for Betsy Newman.
