The Details
To celebrate our birthdays, Michael & I decided that we needed a weekend away. Michael is the co-founder & co-director of Angel City Games – a huge adaptive sports competition hosted by UCLA. This year, our 3rd annual games concluded on his birthday, so we really didn’t have a chance to celebrate him. And since my birthday is just 2 weeks after his, we decided to get out of town for a joint birthday adventure.
The Location
While we realize that Palm Springs may not be the ideal summer weather location, we were desperate for a restful, relaxing getaway & figured since most people don’t enjoy 115 degree heat, it would be a great spot for some secluded relaxation. The V Palm Springs provided the perfect location for our vacation. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Brenda at the front desk, who was so kind, friendly, helpful & even upgraded us to their absolutely beautiful & incredibly spacious signature suite! From Happy Hour, to quad riding, from poolside drinks, to the most amazing gourmet dinner at the Workshop, this trip was exactly what we needed. And to conclude our trip, we explored Joshua Tree on our way home, which was the perfect end to some much needed time off.
